LYRC vs SongBlast (2026): Best LYRC Alternative for Musicians?

Published November 5, 2026 · 7 min read · by the SongBlast team

LYRC and SongBlast both turn one song into vertical lyric videos over real footage, for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and both can post them for you. The differences are price, who picks the part of the song, and where the videos go. LYRC starts at $29 a month and gives you a bigger creative toolkit. SongBlast starts at $5 a month, picks the hooks itself, writes a caption for each platform and posts to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. Here is the detail, including where LYRC is the better pick.

Who is writing this. We make SongBlast, so read the opinions with that in mind. The LYRC facts come from LYRC's own website (home, pricing, its comparison pages and its AI b-roll page), read on November 5, 2026. LYRC says more than 125,000 artists use it; we could not check that number. Check its pricing page before you buy.

What LYRC is

LYRC is a lyric video studio for short-form posts. You pick a song from Spotify or upload an MP3, WAV or M4A, choose a snippet of 5 to 60 seconds, then pick a style. LYRC writes the lyrics, places cuts on the beat and fills the slots with footage, and you can edit everything.

What SongBlast is

  1. Upload a song. Otis, the built-in assistant, maps every chorus and verse and picks three hooks at their real lengths. The lyrics are written out from the vocals and timed word by word; paste your own if you prefer.
  2. It builds the week. About two minutes later, seven vertical lyric videos are playing, each on a different hook, with footage matched to the song: your own clips, or human-shot 4K clips from Pexels. Tap Make 4 more for more angles.
  3. Shape the look. Forty filters, ten fonts, nine colours, several lyric styles, framing, and Auto-Cut, which cuts the footage to the song. Save any mix as a Vibe and reuse it on every song.
  4. Captions get written. A separate caption and hashtags for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
  5. Press Blast. Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels post by themselves. TikTok videos land in your TikTok inbox and you tap Post. Prefer to post by hand? Every video is sent to your phone at its time, caption ready. More on that in auto-post your song to TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

Otis edits, he never generates: no AI video, no AI images, no AI music. The song and every frame of footage stay human-made.

FAQ

How much does LYRC cost compared with SongBlast?

LYRC's plans are Creator $29 a month (30 exports), Pro $49 (60 exports) and Elite $89 (100 exports), per its pricing page in November 2026, with up to 34% off on yearly billing. SongBlast's plans are Starter $5 a month (about 60 videos a month) and Pro $15 a month (200+ videos a month), and the free plan builds a first week of seven lyric videos with three downloads, no card.

Does LYRC schedule posts to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube?

LYRC's plans list posting to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and its home page describes scheduling posts to Instagram at the times you pick; a fully automatic daily mode is marked coming soon. SongBlast schedules to four platforms: Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels post by themselves, TikTok videos land in your TikTok inbox for one tap, and every video can also be sent to your phone to post by hand.

Which tool uses real footage instead of AI video?

Both start from real footage. LYRC fills its videos from 2,400+ stock clips, your own clips or clips pulled from a link, and it also offers AI-generated b-roll and AI cover art. SongBlast never generates images or video: every frame is your own clips or human-shot 4K stock from Pexels.

Does LYRC pick the hook for me?

No. On LYRC you choose the snippet (5 to 60 seconds) and it writes the lyrics and places the cuts. SongBlast maps the whole song, picks three hooks at their real lengths and builds seven videos across them; you can move any hook.

What is the main difference between LYRC and SongBlast?

LYRC is a larger creative toolkit for artists: reusable song templates, many lyric presets, clips from links, AI b-roll, cover art and an artist page, from $29 a month. SongBlast is a focused promotion tool: one upload becomes seven lyric videos on different hooks with captions per platform, scheduled to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook, from $5 a month.
